Tips For Being a Successful Official

1. Follow the BOSS Business System

2. Give Them Their Money’s Worth

  • Think of the players as your customers.
  • Always hustle and be consistent.
  • Exude confidence, not arrogance.
  • Expect to be criticized and fight the urge to argue.
  • Never lose your composure.
  • Step up when the game is on the line.

3. Prepare In Advance

  • Do a mental checklist for gear.
  • Know how to get to the gym.
  • Be sure that your partner has the same scheduled information by confirming.

4. Maintain Control of the Game

  • Control the players with the whistle.
