2. Give Them Their Money’s Worth
- Think of the players as your customers.
- Always hustle and be consistent.
- Exude confidence, not arrogance.
- Expect to be criticized and fight the urge to argue.
- Never lose your composure.
- Step up when the game is on the line.
3. Prepare In Advance
- Do a mental checklist for gear.
- Know how to get to the gym.
- Be sure that your partner has the same scheduled information by confirming.
4. Maintain Control of the Game
- Control the players with the whistle.
- Use sharp signals and a firm voice.
- Prevent cheap fouls.
- Penalize any unsporting acts.
5. Be Alert
- Be aware of incoming substitutes.
- Be ready for time out requests.
- Know the time and score.
- Know how many team fouls there are.
